New Berlin, Pennsylvania - Mary K. Kratzer, 77, formerly of New Berlin, entered into rest at 3:50 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2025, at Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village, Lewisburg.

She was born Sept. 30, 1947, in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late William T. and Evaline W. (Moyer) Wright. On June 27, 1970, she married Harry H. Kratzer, who survives.

Mary was a graduate of Christiana High School, Delaware.

She was employed as a CNA at Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village and Pennsylvania House.

Mary enjoyed crocheting, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was always the first to help someone in need.

Mary was a fighter, having survived breast cancer many years ago.

Surviving in addition to her husband of 55 years are one daughter and son-in-law, Sally and Eric Mabus of Millmont; one son, Eric Kratzer of Watsontown; two grandchildren, Corey Kratzer, and Cameron and his wife Crysta Kratzer; four great-grandchildren, Morgan Minnier, Saylem Kratzer, Mason Kratzer, and Noah Kratzer.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Gene Yarger and Ronald Wright; and one sister, Marlene Gabel.

Family and friends are welcome to a time of visitation from 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025, at Emmanuel United Church of Christ, 326 Market St., New Berlin, where a memorial service will be conducted at 11, with Rev. Dr. James Cope and Rev. Jan Garinger, officiating.

Burial will be held privately in New Berlin Cemetery. Arrangements are by Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Road, Mifflinburg.
