Mary R. Hart, 101, of Williamsport, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2019, at RiverWoods Senior Living Community, Lewisburg, where she resided for the last four years.

She was born March 11, 1918, in Middleport, a daughter of the late Walter and Rosalia (Bartush) Markowicz. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Lewis J. Hart.

Mary was a high school graduate and worked at the former Weldon's. She was a member of the former Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

She enjoyed sewing, quilting, crafts, painting, baking, and making bread. Most of all Mary loved and cherished spending time with her family.

Surviving are her two daughters, Joanne H. Dahl (David), of South Williamsport and Barbara H. Thomas (Robert), of Lewisburg; five grandchildren, Curtis Thomas (Blair Mathias), Ellen Thomas (Ian Hullings), Carolyn Graham (James), Ethan Dahl (Jessica), and Aaron Dahl; one stepgrandson, Chris Dahl (Jamie); two great-grandchildren, Kathryn and Adam Graham, and two stepgreat-grandsons, Liam and Brooks Dahl.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Frank Markowicz I, Frank Markowicz II, Joseph Markowicz; and three sisters, Helen Susko, Viola Tudor, and Eleanor Boroch.

A Mass of Christian Burial to honor the life of Mary will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, June 28, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 800 Mulberry St., Montoursville, with the Rev. Michael S. McCormick officiating. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to Mass.

Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Muncy.

The family will provide the flowers and memorial contributions may be made in Mary's memory to a charity of donor's choice.
