Milton - Mary Elizabeth (Baumer) Billhime, 97, formerly of Carpenter Road, Milton, passed to be with her Lord on March 11, 2026, at Oak Glen in Lewisburg. Born in Danville on Jan. 3, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Ira and Mae (Albeck) Baumer. She was married on Nov. 24, 1945, to the late LaRue H. Billhime. They were married 60 years before his passing.

Mary worked at the Danville Silk Mill and at Fox Napp in Milton, then after Fox Napp closed she was a Tax Assessor for West Chillisquaque Township. Mary was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, now the Milton Lutheran Church. She belonged to Susquehanna Drifters of Good Sam's Club, where her and her husband enjoyed traveling to Yuma, Ariz., until 2001.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Robert E. Sr. and Yvonne Billhime of Milton; two daughters, Sherry Kay Palko of Danville, and her caretaker, Helen Billhime and her companion, Charles Stahl; 10 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and 35 great-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Helen Moll, of Lewisburg, Donna Smith of Lewisburg, Karen Zavaglia, of N.J., and Judy Brill of Middletown, and many nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law, Sheryl and Benny Housner; three sisters, Joanne Radler, Darlis Wintersteen, and Betty Morgan; a brother, Ira Baumer, and two infant grandsons.

Friends and relatives will be received on Friday, March 27, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Milton Lutheran Church, 1125 Mahoning St., Milton where a memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Gary Schaeffer officiating. Burial will follow in Milton Cemetery.
