Mary Dietrich Obituary

Mary Dietrich, 84, of Sunbury, passed away June 12, 2020, at Manor Care Nursing Home.

Born Sept. 19, 1935, in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, she was a daughter of the late Bernardino Amoros and Viva Perez.

She graduated high school in New York and had a career as a nurse and vet tech. She spent her later years babysitting for families. Mary regularly attended church, enjoyed yoga and meditation, and playing her organ, singing, and dancing. She traveled a lot and never left her house without looking her best. Her favorite thing to do was spend time with her family. She wanted her family to want the same and to stick together. Mary lived a life full of family, friends, love, and laughter and she taught us all to do the same.

Surviving are her two granddaughters, Larissa and Brandi; three grandsons, Cowboy, Robert, and Michael; 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lydia and Maria; one brother, David; and three step-children, Susie, Scott, and Mark.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John; her son and daughter, Michael and Nancy; granddaughter, Angel; sister, Gladys; and brother, Tony.

A memorial service will be held at noon Friday, July 10, at St. Monica's Church in Sunbury, with visitation from 11:30 a.m. to noon. Join the family for a Celebration of Life at 1 p.m. at the Marina State Park, Pavilion 2.

Burial will be at noon Saturday, July 11, in Yocoms Cemetery, Reading.

Flowers are welcome. Contributions may be made to St. Monica's, but the family also encourages donations to be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
