Mary Ann Conroy Obituary

Ashland, Pennsylvania - Mary Ann Conroy, 81, of Ashland, passed away Sunday, Jan. 3, 2021, at the home of her niece in Sunbury.


Born Nov. 16, 1939, in Sunbury, she was a daughter of the late Michael T. and Emma E. (Hunter) Wida.


She went to Sunbury schools and worked as a machine operator at Tri-State Envelope. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Parish, Ashland. Mary was a member of the St. Ann Guild, and was a life member of the VFW. She loved to crochet, read and bake.


She was preceded in death by her husband, James Conroy; her daughter, Emma Fishburn; two brothers, Michael and Irvin; and a sister, Ida Rupp.


She is survived by her son-in-law, Harry Fishburn Sr., of Mount Carmel; a grandson, Harry Fishburn Jr., of Mount Carmel; a granddaughter,Mary Milosh, of Ringtown; three brothers, William Hunter Sr., of Dornsife, Hiram Wida, of Indiana, and David Wida, of Mount Carmel; and her niece and caregiver, Ann Dorman, of Sunbury. Also relatives, Maureen and Mike Tasker, Kathy Rexrode, Peggy Vechter, Margaret Conroy, Melba Martin and Paul Rupp; nine great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.


Visitation will be held from 9:45 to 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 8 at St. Charles Borromeo Paris, Ashland, followed by a Mass of the Christian Burial at 11, with Rev. Brian Miller officiating.


Interment will be held in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Fountain Springs.
