MOUNT PLEASANT MILLS — Mary T. “Teri” Adam, 60, of Cross Road, was pronounced dead on arrival on Thursday morning, July 2, 2015, at the Sunbury Community Hospital where she was taken after suddenly being stricken at her home. She was born Jan. 25, 1955, in Darby, a daughter of the late Richard and Margaret Kern Powers. She was married to Philip John Adam Sr. who preceded her in death on Feb. 18, 2014. Teri was a graduate of Haverford High School. She had been employed as a school bus driver for the Haverford School District and currently for Gilson Transportation. She also worked at the Wendt’s Pork Palace, Selinsgrove and had formerly worked at IER Industries, Liverpool. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, Selinsgrove. Teri enjoyed camping, and loved her work, but most of all she was a people person who enjoyed helping others especially, special needs children. She is survived by two sons, Philip John Adam Jr. and girlfriend, Alyssa Wittle, and Jason R. Adam and fiance, Tori Stake, all of Port Trevorton; two sisters, Cecil Velazquez, of Lakeland, Fla., and Margaret Powers, of Fort Worth, Texas; three brothers, Peter Powers, of Chicago, Andrew Powers, of Philadelphia, and Michael Powers, of Lakeland, Fla. She was preceded in death by one brother, William Powers. Family and friends will be received from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Selinsgrove, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 with Father Michael Mburu, A.J., as celebrant. Contributions in Mary’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1948 E. Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701. Arrangements are by the V.L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. High St., Selinsgrove.
