Marjorie Brown Obituary

Lewisburg, Pennsylvania - Marjorie I. Brown, 94 of Old Turnpike Road, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2025, at Wellspan Evangelical Community Hospital.


She was born Jan. 7, 1931, in Shamokin Dam, a daughter of the late Harry and Mary E. (Reichenbach) Kratzer. On Oct. 2, 1948, she married David Arthur Brown, who preceded her in death on April 12, 2021.


Mrs. Brown was employed as a machine operator for Wilson Manufacturing, retiring after many years of service.


She attended Bethany Evangelical Church and, more recently, God's Missionary Church, both of Sunbury.


Marjorie enjoyed needlework, jigsaw puzzles and was an excellent cook and baker.


She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, David S. and Paula Brown, of Sunbury; four daughters and one son-in-law, Jane L. Dollar, of Texas, Mary A. and Rick Gordon, of Dubois, Linda M. Brown, of Northumberland and Sandra J. Brown, of Berwick; her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Pauline of Georgia, and Nancy, of Northumberland.


In addition to her husband of 72 years, Marjorie was preceded in death by son-in-law, George Dollar, and sisters, Amy and Madelyn and Kathleen in infancy.


A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2025, at the Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St., Sunbury, with funeral services beginning at 11 with Rev. Ryan Martin officiating.


Burial will follow in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
