Marie "Shorty" Baum, 92, of Pitman, passed away Friday, Feb. 9, 2018, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

She was born April 14, 1925, in Dornsife, a daughter of the late Mazie and Charles Campbell. She was married to Lester L. Baum who preceded her in death on Jan. 29, 1990.

Marie graduated from Primary school on April 20th, 1939.

She was employed at Snyder's Greenhouse in Leck Kill, the General Store in Leck Kill, Snyder's Restaurant in Pitman, and the Carriage House in Klingerstown.

She was a member of Christ Evangelical and Reformed Church, Leck Kill.

Marie enjoyed playing cards, working in her garden and lawn, and helping in the kitchen at Jack's Spot.

She is survived by one daughter, Anita Shissler and companion Jack Bensinger Sr., of Pitman; grandchildren, Michelle Williard of Huntingdon, and Leroy Shissler and his wife Maura, and two great-children, Amanda and Kaitlyn, of Chelmsford, Mass.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ruby Williard who passed on July 7, 2002; and a son-in-law, Charles Williard who passed on Sept. 28, 2016.

A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, at the Stephen R. Rothermel Funeral Home, 1133 Ridge Road, Klingerstown and from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, at Christ Evangelical and Reformed Church, 5189 Schwaben Creek Road, Leck Kill, followed by the funeral at 11.

Interment will follow in St. John's Reformed Cemetery, Leck Kill.
