MILTON — Margaret R. Adami, 89, of Broadway, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2011, at her home. Born in Philadelphia on Sept. 10, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Connell and Nora (Dunn) Bonner. She was married for 66 years to Salim J. Adami, who survives. Peg was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Milton, and worked as a secretary at Chef Boy-Ar-Dee, Milton. She was very active with the church and volunteered with the American Red Cross, the Literacy Program and Birthright, and she served on the Milton school board in the late 1970s and early 1980s. She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing cards, knitting and cross stitching. She is survived by five sons and four daughters-in-law, Anthony and Jill Adami, of Galeton, James Adami, of Milton, Michael and Tracy Adami, of Shillington, John and Sharon Adami, of Milton, and Pat and Karen Adami, of Elmira, N.Y.; two daughters, Barbara Adami and Margaret Adami, of Medford, N.J.; two sisters, Ellen Kretzer and Kathleen Pirolli, both of New Jersey; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Peg was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Connell Adami; a daughter, Kathleen Verrett; three brothers, Connell Bonner, William Bonner and John Bonner; and two sisters, Mary Osborne and Nora Bradley. Arrangements will be announced at a later date.
