Luke Edmund Smeltz
Luke Edmund Smeltz, 54, of Enola, went to Heaven on Friday, Nov. 8, 2019, at home surrounded by his family.

Luke was a Project Manager/Soil Scientist for Skelly and Loy Inc., Harrisburg. He was a PA Certified SEO and Certified Professional Soil Scientist.
He was a member of the Brethren in Christ Church.
He enjoyed spending time with family, gardening, listening to music, singing, evenings by the fire pit, anytime spent outdoors, Penn State football, reading, and learning new things.

Luke is survived by his wife, Kelly Jo (Haring) Smeltz; parents, Edmund and Doris (Keefer) Smeltz of Lewisburg; three daughters, Rachael E. Greene (Joel) of Camp Hill, Hannah M. Smeltz (Michael Inman) of Harrisburg, and Abigail L. Rivera (Tyler) of Enola; one brother, Steven; two sisters, Rebecca Newton and Deborah Gessner; and seven grandchildren, Brooklyn, Khaleesi, Zaya, Lukas, Autumn, Zoe, and Tessa.

A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, at The Meeting House, 1155 Walnut Bottom Road, Carlisle, followed by a celebration of Luke's life at 11.

I went from elementary to high school with Luke because we lived so close to each other. I remember we'd friendly tease and pick on each other. I was stunned when I saw his obituary. His life was too full to have it taken so soon. Sometimes things just don't make sense...
