Louise A. Hilkert

Louise Ann Hilkert, 74, of Milton, entered into rest at 12:59 p.m., Tuesday, July 28, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with colon cancer, at Brookdale Grayson View Assisted Living, Selinsgrove.
She was born Dec. 30, 1951, in Sunbury, a daughter of the late Josiah and Rose (Gallo) Schrader. On Nov. 15, 2003, in Las Vegas, Nevada, she married Paul Hilkert, who survives.
Louise was a 1970 graduate of Shikellamy High School.
She was a member of Saint Monica Catholic Church, Sunbury.
Louise was employed at RR Donnelley, Lewisburg, for 30 years until she retired.
She enjoyed her family, Penn State football games, and NASCAR racing.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 22 years, is one brother, Joe Schrader of Sunbury; nephew, Eric (Janel) Schrader of Northumberland; great-nephews and great-niece, Blake and Trent Schrader of Northumberland, and Brooke (Joe) Webb of Sunbury.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Steve Schrader; sister-in-law, Donna Schrader, and nephew, Nick Schrader.
A very special thank you to Louise's best friends who gave her rides to chemo, Sherry Pittiglio and Grace Herrold, and a special cousin, Linda Eister.
Family and friends are welcome from 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 1, 2026, at Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Road, Mifflinburg, where the funeral service will be conducted at 11, with Rev. Jerome Kleponis officiating.
Burial will be in Church Hill Cemetery, Lewisburg.

Plant a tree: How does it work

When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.

An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.

After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.

Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

January - May

Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.

June - December

Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
