Lewisburg, Pennsylvania - Louella M. Swanger, 84, of Lewisburg, passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at her home.

Born in Erie on Sept. 10, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Nolan and Lola (Laird) Lovejoy. She was married to Barry L. Swanger. Together they celebrated 52 years of marriage until his death in 2016.

Earlier in life, she worked for Pennsylvania House. She loved watching wildlife, especially birds and deer, smelling lilacs and was a great cook. She was a member of United in Christ Lutheran Church, Lewisburg.

Louella is survived by four children, Nelson Swanger and his wife, Veronica, of Mifflinburg, Lisa Sampsell and her husband, Bob, of Mifflinburg, Brian Swanger and his significant other, Tricia Dreese, of Turbotville, and Sheila Walter of Mifflinburg; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, Albert Lovejoy, of Arizona.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack Lovejoy and Ernest Lovejoy, and a sister, Betty Jean Earnest.

Following Louella's wishes, private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
