Logan Roush Obituary
New Berlin, Pennsylvania - With heavy hearts, we share that Logan M. Roush, 35 of New Berlin, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2026. Logan was born in Lewisburg, on April 27, 1990.
"Whitey" will be greatly missed by his parents, Shawn and Kelly Roush; his grandparents, Patricia Roush, and John and Betty Hollenbach; his uncle Steve Hollenbach; brother and sister-in-law, Shannon Roush and Amy Hill; nieces, Ryen and Camron Roush; and former sister-in-law Nicole Wray. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, William Roush.
Logan graduated from Mifflinburg Area High School in 2008 and was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in New Berlin. For many years he served on the New Berlin Activities Committee and was very active in New Berlin Day. He also served as president of the New Berlin Heritage Association and PACFI. Logan was often a spokesperson for the PACFI golf tournament and Chili Cook-Off. Logan, with the help of many others, including who he lovingly referred to as "the red-headed step-family," played a big role in the annual apple dumpling stand at the Christkindl Market. He was instrumental in creating and managing the Til Death Tattoo Studio with his friend, Andrew Stumpff.
He was inspired to live life to the fullest for his nieces, Ryen and Camron, who gave him the nickname "Ode." In Logan's words to them, "While I may not be your dad, I do feel in many ways that my depth of pride and love that I have for the two of you can only be described as that of a parent." This is a testament of the love he carried for his family.
Whitey got his witty sense of humor from his dad and his ability to make friends anywhere from his mom. Whether it was Jeep rides in the summer, late-night campfires, or long stays in the hospital, Logan spent lots of time with his parents, creating memories and laughing. His grandparents also played a large part in shaping him into the hero that he was. They surrounded him with love, care and homemade food. Family meant the world to Logan.
He was a relentless young man who battled through the struggles of having cystic fibrosis and diabetes. He fought these battles every day from a very young age, and not once did he ask for attention or sympathy. He carried it with such strength and courage, and he did not let these hardships define him or the way he lived his life. Logan was an inspiration to all, and it was clear that he showed the fight of the Irish.
If you knew Logan, you knew his love for adventure included road trips to music festivals, concerts and haunted attractions. He loved haunts and anything Halloween, which led him to create many connections with fellow haunters across the nation. In the Haunt community, many considered him their little brother.
Logan will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, donations to Lungs for Logan can be made at Service First Credit Union toward unpaid medical bills. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
Arrangements are by Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Road, Mifflinburg.
