Libby L. Sorensen, 72, of Danville, Pa., passed away peacefully on Nov. 5, 2024, at Grandview Nursing and Rehabilitation in Danville, Pa. She was born May 27, 1952, in Harrisburg, Pa., the daughter of the late George L. and Jean L. Libby Boyer.

Libby graduated from Andover High School in Andover, Massachusetts.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John B. Sorensen on Dec. 20, 2018, whom she married July 7, 2012.

Libby was employed by Country Cupboard in Lewisburg, the Bon-Ton and as a sous chef at the Pine Barn Inn in Danville PA, from where she retired.

She loved music, sunbathing by her pool, gardening and cruising with her family and her friends. She also enjoyed her trips to Long Island, N.Y., and to Andover, Massachusetts to visit with her family. Her deep love for her cats showcased her kind and nurturing heart, as well as being referred to as "Mom" by so many who knew her. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her children and grandchildren, all of whom she adored. Libby's warm hospitality and delightful cooking brought loved ones together, creating cherished memories that will be treasured for years to come.

She is survived by two daughters, Jessica Klopp and her husband Brian, Jr. of Riverside PA and Amy Canzanella and her significant other, Richard Kearney of Sayville, NY; four grandchildren: Sarah Canzanella, Leah Klopp, Emily Canzanella and Bailey Klopp. Also surviving is one brother, Steven F. Boyer and his wife Patricia of Tennessee.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
