LeRoy D. "Foxie" Fox, 76, of Milton, passed away on June 14, 2019, at his home.

He was born May 22, 1943, in Huntersville, a son of the late William Benjamin and Margaret Jessie (Ohnmeiss) Fox.

LeRoy was a truck driver all of his working life. In 2011, he bought his own truck. He was an owner/operator until he had to retire due to health issues.

On Sept. 26, 1964, he married the former Nancy Reed. They had two daughters, Sherrie Fox and Christina Fox Williams, both of Virginia.

On July 16, 1984, he married the former Connie Young Hoffman. She had two sons, Terry Hoffman of New Columbia and Gregory Hoffman of Hebron, Ky.

He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Ryan Koch, Kamara Varela, Amanda Luckett, Brittany Hoffman Smith, Jesse Fox, Erica Hoffman, Jarret Martin and Hayley Martin; and seven great-grandchildren.

LeRoy was the last of 22 children and is the last of his generation. He was also preceded in death by one grandson, Ryan Koch.

A celebration of life will be held at 9 a.m. Sunday, July 14, at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 630 Lincoln St., Milton, with Mr. William Spencer Jr., officiating.
