Leon M. Botts, 83, of Mifflinburg, entered into rest on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2025, at his residence.
Born on Jan. 15, 1942, in Perry Twp, Snyder County, he was the son of the late Dennis F. Botts and Bessie Anna (Gates) Botts. On Dec. 18, 1972, in Mifflinburg, he married the former Charlotte Moyer, who survives.
He was a graduate of Mifflinburg High School class of 1960.
Leon owned and operated Buffalo Valley Excavating.
He enjoyed spending time with family and grandchildren.
In addition to his loving wife, Charlotte, he is survived by one son, Dennis F. Botts of Sunbury; two daughters, Lynette Ackley of Milton and Lindsey Houdeshall of Middleburg; six grandchildren, Denise, Brandon, Adalyn, Waylon, Easton, and Vivian; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Donald Botts of Mifflinburg and Lester Botts of Lewistown; a sister, Doris Sheesley of Hartleton, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Randy, who passed away in infancy, and brothers, Dale Botts and George Botts, and brother-in-law, Oren Sheesley.
Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Forest Hill Cemetery.
