Mount Pleasant Mills, Pennsylvania - Lenny "Len" R. Shaffer, 65, of Mount Pleasant Mills, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 30, 2025, at his home.

He was born April 6, 1960, in Lewisburg. A son of the late Donald E. and Sarah (Swartz) Shaffer.

On March 26, 1988, he married the former Karen I. Miller, who survives.

Lenny's employment history included Robert Minium Masonry, Colonial Furniture, PBS Builders and Excel/Champion Homes.

He attended the Church of Christ in Christian Union, Mount Pleasant Mills.

Lenny enjoyed hunting, softball league bowling, dirt track racing and had earlier ran a car at the Selinsgrove track.

His greatest joys were family get-togethers and his grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Wayne (Laura) Shaffer, a daughter, Loretta (Nelson) High; three grandchildren, Abigail, Trent and Madison; one sister, Janice (Chris) Swartz; and three brothers, Terry (Cheryl) Shaffer, David (Marilyn) Shaffer and Timmy (Crystal) Shaffer.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, June 5, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Church of Christ in Christian Union, 5230 Route 104, Mount Pleasant Mills, followed by the funeral at 11 with Rev. Marty Adams officiating. Burial will be in the Aline Church Cemetery, Mount Pleasant Mills.
