Lee Carson Kratzer
Lee Carson Kratzer, 85, of Kratzerville, passed away on the morning of Feb. 15, 2020, at his home.
He was born Oct. 7, 1934, in Kratzerville, a son of the late Lester and Alverta (Hollenbach) Kratzer. Lee spent 57 wonderful years being married to his best friend, the former Arlena Miller. Lee and Arlena married on May 13, 1962, at Four Square Gospel Church, in Mazeppa.

Growing up, Lee spent his days playing baseball, working on a tree farm, gig fishing, and playing in the barn.
He enjoyed his farming life until 1988, when he gave it up to start working at the Selinsgrove Area School District as a custodian. He retired from the school district 11 years later.
Lee loved spending time with family every chance he had. He spent most of his summer days scootering with his grandsons Jeremy and Anthony. He enjoyed going to the Penns Cave Antique Show, watching the McNetts in concert, and gardening. Lee was an easy going person, with a content personality. Being at home eating peanut butter crackers and spending time with his grandkids or mowing the grass in his overalls was enough to make for a successful day.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Marlin and Christine Kratzer, and Clair and Linda Kratzer; three children and their spouses, Gloria and Ray Benfer, Allen Kratzer, and Dean and Crystal Kratzer; grandchildren, Jeremy Benfer, Andrew and wife Erica Benfer, Matthew Benfer and fiancé Ashley Greenaway, Janelle and husband Daniel Mook, Courtney and husband Brett Reinard, and Timothy Kratzer; great-grandchildren, Chloe and Lana Benfer, and Layla Reinard.

In addition to his parents, Lee was preceded in death by one grandson, Anthony Kratzer.

The family is at ease knowing he received a scooter tour of Heaven. Lee was, and always will be, loved by many. He filled our hearts with comfort knowing he was "Ready to go home to the Lord", as he reassured us.
Everyone will miss the man we all knew as "Pap" or "Scooter".

A viewing will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, at the V.L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. High St., Selinsgrove, followed by the funeral at 11, with the Rev. Butch Woolsey officiating.
Burial will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Kratzerville.
Contributions in Lee's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1948 E. Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701.
