L. Dennis Beck Obituary

L. Dennis Beck, 75, of New Columbia, entered into rest at 12:29 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 27, 2025, at WellSpan Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.

He was born Nov. 23, 1949, in Lewisburg, a son of the late Lester and Helen (Erb) Beck. On Aug. 26, 1972, he married the former Celia M. Cleveland, who survives.

He was a 1969 graduate of Lewisburg High School.

Dennis served in the Navy from 1969 until his honorable discharge in 1974.

He owned and operated Beck's Plumbing and Heating, New Columbia, since 1993.

Dennis was a member of the Pennsylvania Young Farmers, Lewisburg Chapter, and the Central Pennsylvania Vintage Iron Club.

He enjoyed antique machinery and camping with his family.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 52 years, are two daughters and sons-in-law, Sarah and Daniel Sanders of Lewisburg, and Sandra and Dan Wimberley of King George, Virginia; 3 grandchildren, Amelia, Lauren, and Ethan; one brother and sister-in-law, Warren and Kay Beck of Ohio; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Loretta Beck of Lewisburg, Debbie Smith of Lewisburg, and Eileen and Ray Bloom of Sunbury; and one sister-in-law, Deb Beck of Lewisburg.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Barry Beck.

Family and friends are welcome to a time of visitation from 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday, March 8, at Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Road, Mifflinburg, where the memorial service will be conducted at 11, with Rev. Daniel Hicks officiating.
