Kelly S. Haas Obituary

Kelly S. Haas, 60, of Sunbury Road, Sunbury, passed away Friday, Oct. 25, 2024, in Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.


Kelly was born July 22, 1964, in Sunbury, a daughter of the late Edward F. and Carol A. Scott. On Sept. 17, 2003, she married Mark A. Haas who survives.


She was a 1982 graduate of Shikellamy High School.


Kelly was a lab assistant for Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, and then she was a psych aid for Danville State Hospital.


She enjoyed traveling, mostly through small town New England staying in Bed and Breakfasts and eating lobster rolls, word games, and Pokemon Go, but her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandson, Jase.


Kelly was a member of Klinesgrove United Methodist Church, Sunbury.


In addition to her husband she is survived by daughters, Kelsey Rowe and Katelyn Shade; grandson, Jase; brother, Gregory Scott; sister, Rebecca Carr (Gary); nieces and nephews, Amanda (Ryan), Lindsey (Adam), Carly, Kirsten, Meghan, and Ethan.


She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Grace Pursel.


A viewing will be held Friday, Nov. 1, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Zweier Funeral Home, 157 Chestnut St., Sunbury. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 9 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Eric Light officiating, in Klinesgrove United Methodist Church, 1058 Church Road, Sunbury.


Interment will follow in Klinesgrove United Methodist Church Cemetery.
