Keith D. "Big Daddy" Minier, 57, of State Route 44, Allenwood, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015, at his home. He was born Sept. 4, 1958, in Williamsport, a son of Don C. Minier, of Dewart and Gloria (Kinney) Gray, of Muncy. He married the former Debbie A. Buss on June 21, 1986 and they have celebrated 29 years of marriage. He was a 1976 graduate of Muncy High School and served with the Army for 10 years as a heavy equipment operator while stationed in Germany. He had been a supervisor at the former Masonite Corp., Watsontown; then the chief engineer with the Hampton Inn in Selinsgrove and New Columbia; and later employed as a supervisor at Strick Corporation, Ottawa. He was also a self-employed electrician. He was a former member of Muncy Baptist Church. Keith enjoyed NASCAR racing, woodworking, and hunting with his son, grandson and brothers. He also enjoyed helping his son with his fireworks company, Hot Shot Pyrotechnics, and he loved his dog Harley. In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his stepfather, John Gray, of Muncy; one son and daughter-in-law, Michael A. and Bobbie Sheets, of Allenwood; two grandchildren, Ashleigh K. and Brandon Michael Sheets; three stepgrandchildren, Tyler, Seth and Derrick; three brothers, Mark Minier, of Huntersville, Dean Minier, of Benton, and Troy Minier, of Muncy; one sister, Sandra Crier, in Texas; two stepbrothers, Terry and Stanley Shaffer; and two stepsisters, Norma Jean Newman and Marion Lynn Botts. Keith was preceded in death by his stepmother, Nancy Minier. Friends are invited to call from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday at Brooks Funeral Home & Cremation Services PC, 207 Broadway St., Turbotville, followed by a memorial service with military honors at 7.
