Keegan Joshua Shultz Obituary

With deepest sorrow we inform you of the tragic loss of our son, Keegan Joshua Shultz, of Elysburg, on Tuesday, March 5, 2019. Keegan, 17, was a student at Southern Columbia Area High School.

Keegan had a passion for playing football, especially defensive end. His favorite football team to watch was the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was also an avid hockey fan and loved watching the Pittsburgh Penguins. Keegan's sarcastic sense of humor and cynical outlook on life will forever be remembered by all who knew him.

Keegan will be greatly missed by his parents: mother, Christine Kemmerer and husband Michael; father, Matthew Shultz and wife Janelle; twin sister, Kaylee; brothers: Anthony, Landon, Jordan, Kaiden and Xander, and sister, Sierra. Grandmother, Linda Edwards; grandparents, Richard and Gloria Wenner, Leonard and Peggy Shultz; loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous classmates, teammates and friends.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 10, at Elysburg Presbyterian Church, West Valley Avenue, Elysburg, followed by services at 6 p.m. with the Rev. Matthew Young officiating.

In lieu of flowers, an account has been set up at First Columbia National Bank, 119 Northumberland Dr., Elysburg, in memory of Keegan Shultz. Donations will be used by the family to promote suicide prevention.

Suicide doesn't guarantee things won't get worse. It eliminates the possibility of things ever getting better.

Rothermel-Heizenroth Funeral & Cremation Service, Elysburg, is in charge of arrangements.
