June A. Campbell Musselman, 85, of Avenel, N.J., formerly of Staten Island, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2015, and her beloved husband of 66 years, Harry E. Musselman, 89, entered into eternal rest on Friday, Nov. 27, 2015. June was born in Sunbury, Pa. and lived in Staten Island for 36 years before moving to Avenel 15 years ago. She was employed by Hugh Peck’s Deli for many years, where she was known for her famous potato salad. She was a Sunday school teacher at Our Savior of Lutheran Church. Harry was born in Altoona, Pa. and lived on Staten Island for 70 years before moving to Avenel. Harry was a two time all-star short-stop at Port Richmond High School and is on the permanent Honor Roll there. He also was a professional baseball player for eight years with the N.Y. Giants Organization, playing in their farm system. Harry served with the Marine Corps, attaining the rank of corporal. He was employed by Proctor & Gamble Corp. for 26 years, retiring in 1981 as a supervisor. Active with Our Savior of Lutheran Church, he was a Sunday school superintendent and sexton along with serving with “Project Hospitality”. Harry and June were the loving parents of Laura Meehan, James, John and Mark Musselman; cherished grandparents of seven; and great-grandparents of four. June was the beloved sister of Shirley Maurer, Deanna and Jean Hare, and Harry was the brother of the late Shirley Clary. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the memorial funeral service at noon Saturday at First Presbyterian Church, 621 E. Woodbridge Ave., Avenel, N.J.
