Penns Creek, Pennsylvania - Joyce L. Fisher, 96, formerly of Penns Creek, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at the Nursing and Rehabilitation at the Mansion, Sunbury.

Born April 17, 1930, in Beaver Township, Snyder County, she was the daughter of the late John and Sarah (Bickhart) Long.

She had been affiliated with the Penns Creek United Methodist Church and had also attended the Port Ann Wesleyan Church.

She enjoyed going to yard sales, doing word circle puzzles and helping at the Penns Creek Fire Company Auxiliary serving meals.

Surviving is a son, Richard (Shirly) Fisher of Ohio; one daughter, Doris Kerstetter, of Middleburg; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Evelyn Sheesly.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Patsy Shaffer; two sons-in-law, Daniel Shaffer and Larry Kerstetter; a great-grandaughter; a brother, George Long; and two sisters, Julia Dunkelberger and Darlene Long.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, May 31, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Hummel Funeral Home, 574 Hill St., Middleburg, followed by the funeral at 11:30.

Burial in Zion Church Cemetery, Middleburg.
