John R. Deppen Obituary
Williamstown, N.J. - John "Jack" R. Deppen, 76, of Williamstown, N.J., formerly of Trevorton passed away on Sept. 15, 2025. Jack was the beloved husband of Margaret "Margie" (DeSantis) Deppen, sharing 51 years of loving marriage. Born on Jan. 18, 1949, in Danville, he was a son of the late John S. and Nancy (Shirk) Deppen.
Jack dedicated many years of service to PennDOT, retiring as a storeroom manager. He proudly and honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Trevorton. Jack was also an endowment member of the NRA, a life member of the Zerbe Township Rod and Gun Club, and an Original Pennsylvania 1,000-Yard Benchrest in Trout Run. An avid outdoorsman, he found great joy in hunting and fishing throughout his life.
Jack will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Margie; a daughter Danielle Iacovelli and her husband John; grandchildren, Evan and Emma; a sister, Susan Charles and her husband Bob and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, Sept. 19, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Foust Funeral Home LLC, 841 W. Shamokin St., Trevorton, with a visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of service, with Kevin Venarchick officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Jack's memory to Zerbe Township Rod and Gun Club, 649 Sportsman Rd., Trevorton, Pa., 17881.
