John C. Boatman Obituary

John C. Boatman, 14, of South Turbot Avenue, Milton, passed away Thursday, Dec. 12, 2024, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born March 28, 2010, in Hershey, he was the son of Robyn Haney and her partner Eric Rathburn Jr. of Milton and Joshua Boatman of Shamokin.

John was in eighth grade at Shikellamy Middle School. He enjoyed popping wheelies on his wheelchair and watching the show, Reba. He was a fan of the KC Chiefs and loved everything pertaining to football. John liked to play with small fidgets, especially if they were sticky and stuck to the ceiling. He is survived by his parents; his brother, Mathew Rathburn; his grandparents, Robert and Deborah Haney of Watsontown, Teresa Boatman of Turbotville, and Eric and Tammy Rathburn of Muncy; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

John was preceded in death by his grandfather, John T. Boatman Jr.

Friends and relatives will be received Friday, Dec. 20 from noon to 1 p.m. at Shaw Funeral Home, 400 N. Front St., Milton, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. with the Rev. John Lee officiating.
