Danville - Joanne Truxell, 87, of Danville, passed away at home, surrounded by her family, on Monday, May 19, 2025. Joanne was born in Atlas, Pa., on Feb. 5, 1938, a daughter of the late Peter P. and Anna (Machuzak) Glowaski.

Joanne was a 1955 graduate of Danville High School. Joanne worked at the Thomas Beaver Free Library and Geisinger Medical Center, for 33 years, in medical records before her retirement.

Joanne was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, Leland Courtright Truxell who passed away in January of 1996. They were married in May of 1968.

Joanne was a member of the Red Hat Ladies and enjoyed volunteering her time at the Animal Resource Center, in Bloomsburg. Joanne was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and cherished friend.

Joanne was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Annemarie Shuler of Danville; and brother, Joseph R. Glowaski Sr. of Danville.

Joanne is survived by her son, Eric Truxell of Danville; two daughters, Natasha Truxell of Berwyn and Diana Truxell of Narberth; two grandchildren, Michael Truxell and Leland Truxell; one great-grandchild, Sybella Truxell; and one brother, Peter Glowaski of California.

Friends and family are invited to a Visitation on Thursday, May 29, 2025, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Brady Funeral Home, 448 Church Street, Danville, followed by Joanne's funeral service at 11 a.m., led by celebrant Fr. Dan Troyan.
