Jessie S. Stock
Jessie S. Stock, 84, of Middleburg, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2019, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
She was born May 8, 1935, in Danville, a daughter of the late Gordon E. and Elinor (Dunkelberger) Smith. On Jan. 23, 1960, she married Gene L. Stock who preceded her in death on Feb. 26, 2018.

Jessie graduated from Lykens High School and received her bachelor's degree from Susquehanna University in 1956.
She had taught school at Lock Haven School District, Blue Mountain School District, Orwigsburg, and the Middleburg School District, retiring in 1997.
Jessie was an avid golfer and a very active member of the Shade Mountain Golf Course, Middleburg. She enjoyed playing Mah-Jong with her girlfriends. She had also traveled extensively outside of the United States. Her grand and great-grandchildren were the joy of her life.

She is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Edwin L. Stock of Reading, and Andrew G. "Andy" and Anne Stock of New Vernon, N.J.; six grandchildren, Elizabeth Lewis, Helen, Patrick, Gordon, Margaret and Benjamin Stock; and two great-grandchildren, Barrett Stock and Oliver Lewis.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Elinor Burley.

A celebration of Jessie's life will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 23, at Trinity United Methodist Church, Middleburg, with Pastor George Price officiating.
Burial will follow in Glendale Cemetery, Middleburg.

Contributions to honor Jessie's memory may be made to Shade Mountain golf Course Building Fund, 291 Golf Course Road, Middleburg, PA 17842.

Arrangements are by the Hummel Funeral Home, 574 Hill St., Middleburg.
