NORTHUMBERLAND - Jeanette R. "Aunt Jean" Martz, 92, of Susquehanna Road, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012, at the Golden Living Center-Mansion, Sunbury. She was born April 22, 1920, in Sunbury, a daughter of the late William A. and Charlotte (Pettigrew) Martz. She was a 1937 graduate of Sunbury High School. Jeanette was employed at Fannie Farmer Candy, Sunbury, was an Estee Lauder sales representative at Bowman's Department Store, Sunbury, and was a sales clerk at the Betty Vogel Shop in Sunbury. She was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church, Sunbury. Jeanette had a very active, keen mind and enjoyed talking with family and friends and reminiscing, always with great accuracy. Aunt Jean is survived by her nieces and nephews, John and Sharon Walter, of Northumberland, and Paul and Patricia Albert, of Williamsport; great-nieces and nephews, Daniel and Kristin Walter, of Arlington, Va., Lisa Walter, of Northumberland, Dan and Julie Kline, of Williamsport, and Brett and Ellen Clem, of Brooklyn, N.Y.; six great-great-nieces and nephews; and her family's dog, Riley, who was a source of happiness for her, as were all the dogs and pets when her loved ones would bring them for visits. She was preceded in death by her treasured sister, Charlotte M. Albert. Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Pomfret Manor Cemetery, Sunbury. Contributions in Jeanette's memory may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, 15 S. Fifth St., Sunbury, PA 17801, or SUN Home Hospice, 61 Duke Street, Northumberland, PA 17857. Funeral arrangements are by the Joseph W. Epler Funeral Home, 210 King St., Northumberland.
