Jean L. (Wagner) Pacholok, of York Township, passed away peacefully Saturday, Dec. 9, 2023, at WellSpan York Hospital. She was 96.

Born in Danville, on Dec. 29, 1926, she was the only child of the late Charles L. and Grace D. Wagner. She was married to John M. Pacholok Jr. for 47 years until his passing in 1999.

Jean is survived by her daughters, Sandra P. Moyer and husband Robert, of York, and Cynthia P. Eifert and husband Nathan, of Dover; and granddaughter, Lydia Grace Eifert.

A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 18, at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc., 104 W. Main St., Dallastown.

A graveside service for family will be held in the Lewisburg Cemetery.

Jean was a 1944 graduate of Lewisburg High School. Upon graduation, she began her career as a bookkeeper for two Lewisburg banks. After relocating to York with her husband in the late 1950s and starting a family, she was a homemaker who mastered the arts of sewing, gardening, and canning. Jean was an avid bird enthusiast and a lifelong fan of the Baltimore Orioles. What gave her the most joy in life, however, was spending time with her family and the twinkle of her eye, her granddaughter. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all who knew her.
