Jean Viola Abbott, 86, of Winfield, passed away at her home on Sunday afternoon, Feb. 17, 2019.
A native of Sunbury, she was born March 5, 1932, a daughter of the late John and Grace (Wise) Naugle. She was married for 21 years to Richard S. Abbott who preceded her in death on Dec. 6, 1973
Jean was a 1950 gradate of Sunbury High School.
She was employed as a secretary in the business office of the Lewisburg School District for 28½ years.
Jean was a Penn State football fan and enjoyed the NFL, even in the off season reruns.
Surviving are one son, Richard S. Abbott of Oregon; and five grandchildren, Matty Abbott, Scott Abbott, Emily Carney, Julia Christie and Caitlin Christie.
Private graveside services will be held in the Lewisburg Cemetery
Funeral arrangements are by the John H. Shaw III Funeral Home, Market and Eighth streets, Lewisburg.
