Janet R. Wolfe, 83, of Millersburg, formerly of Harrisburg, passed away on Monday, March 27, 2017, at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.

She was born July 13, 1933, in Herndon, a daughter of the late Anna W. (Treon) and Melvin S. Wolfe.

Janet was a 1951 graduate of Mahanoy Joint High School.

She was employed for more than 50 years as a legal secretary to the late John W. Purcell, Esq..

She was a lifetime member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ of Urban, a member of the Soroptimist Venture Club, was a former Girl Scout leader, and was an active member of the Dauphin County Legal Secretary Association.

Janet enjoyed traveling, playing cards, was an avid reader and looked forward to trips to the casino. She enjoyed spending time with her niece, Allyson Frey.

Janet is survived by three sisters, Norma Klinger, of Klingerstown, Diane Wolfe, of Herndon, and Rebecca Frey, of Danville; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Loretta Kramer.

A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at St. Paul's U.C.C, Urban, followed by the funeral at 11, with the Rev. Daniel Shahan officiating.

Interment will follow in St. Paul's Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Janet's memory may be made to St. Paul's U.C.C., 1473 Urban Road, Herndon, PA 17830.
