Millmont - James William (Picky) Pick, 86, of Millmont, entered into rest on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at his residence.
Born on March 22, 1939, in Hartley Township, Pa., the son of the late George W. Pick and Sara A. (Delong) Pick. On Feb. 27, 1965, he married the former Wanda L. Galer, who survives.
He retired from Pennsylvania House Furniture, where he worked as a sander.
James was a lifetime member of the Union Co. West End Fire Co. and Social Hall, where he served as a volunteer firefighter and fire police. While a member, James served as Past-President and Vice-President for 40-plus years. He was also a member of the Union County Sportsmen's Club, along with numerous other clubs and organizations.
James' favorite thing to do was to sit on the porch and wave to everyone who passed by. He also enjoyed hunting, socializing with family and friends, and watching the Phillies.
In addition to his loving wife, Wanda, he is survived by his daughters and their spouses: Therese Sprenkle (Keith Raup, fiancé), Lisa and John Pauling; five grandchildren, Brittany Heine (William Heine), Emily Raup, Michael Sprenkle, Dylan Pauling (Kendall Boyer, fiancée), Stephen Sprenkle; two great-grandchildren, Kaylynne Heine and Delaney Heine, sisters, Miriam Hilkert and Judith Paynter, along with numerous nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Sara Pick, along with five siblings: George W. Pick Jr., Donald Pick, Carl Pick, Mary Ellen Goss, and Patsy Snyder.
Services will be private at the family's convenience.
