James E. Ellis Jr. Obituary

James E. Ellis Jr., 64, of Watsontown, passed away on March 14, 2025, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. Born in Lewisburg on August 26, 1960, he was the son of the late James E. Ellis Sr. and the late Lois (Shoemaker) Catherman and husband, Abraham.

James was a 1979 graduate of Warrior Run High School, and he worked as a dock worker and forklift operator for various local trucking companies. James was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Milton. He was a member of Sons of American Legion in Watsontown and a social member of the Milton VFW. He enjoyed playing pool, shuffleboard, darts and outdoor games. James liked the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and family picnics.

He is survived by his wife, Faith; a daughter, Charlee Kerr and wife, Erin, of Maryland; a son, Jarrett Ellis and wife, Casey Vanatta-Ellis, of New Jersey; two sisters, Bonnie Follmer of New Columbia, and Sue Hamilton of Muncy; a brother-in-law, Charles "Butch" Batdorf Jr. and wife, Deb, of Muncy; and two stepsisters, Sandy Fisher, and Tina Perruquet.

James was preceded in death by a sister, Rosemary Amiri.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, April 25, at the Milton VFW, 300 Park Ave., Milton PA.
