Isabelle  Byrd
Isabelle Byrd, 93, of Milton, passed away on Monday, Nov. 18, 2019, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
She was born Oct. 30, 1926, in Mazeppa, the last surviving daughter of the late Harry and Minnie (Hauck) Wolfe. On Nov. 25, 1945, she married Alfred I. Byrd, who preceded her in death on May 31, 2002. Together they celebrated 56 years of marriage.

Isabelle was employed for more than 30 years as a waitress at the Lewisburg Inn.
She was a member of Christ Wesleyan Church, Milton.
Isabelle enjoyed gardening and growing flowers, and earlier in life, along with her husband, would sell much of the produce in front of their home.
She was a lifelong member of the Lewisburg Chapter #394 Order of the Eastern Star

Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Ginny L. and James Moore of Montandon; seven grandchildren, Ben Moore, Sheri Brubaker, Beth Baker, Larry Byrd, Lorrie Byrd, Jeremy Byrd and Kevin Heiney; and three great-grandchildren, Kate Aikey, Eben Moore and Sullivan Baker.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one son, Dale L. Byrd; and 12 brothers and sisters.

Friends and family will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 22, at the Davis Chapel of Christ Wesleyan Church, 363 Stamm Road, Milton, followed by the funeral at 11, with the Rev. Arlie Davis officiating. An Order of the Eastern Star service will precede the visitation at 9:45 a.m.
Burial will follow in Montandon Cemetery.

The family is being assisted by Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, South Second and St. Louis Streets, Lewisburg.

Hi Ginny. I’m sorry to read of your mother’s passing. I have many good memories of visiting you all when we were youngins. I looked forward to her chocolate chip cookies she always seemed to have in the cookie jar! She was a sweet, sweet lady. Rest In Peace Isabelle. Hugs to you, Ginny.
