EARLVILLE, Md. - Helen E. "Annie" (Herbster) Hardcastle, 83, of Earlville, formerly of Media, Pa., passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2015. Helen was born May 15, 1931, at Potter Hospital, Middleburg, Pa., a daughter of the late Carl J. and Kathryn L. (Sanders) Herbster. She was married to Jerome S. Hardcastle who preceded her in death. She was raised on the family farm in Beavertown, Pa., attended local schools and graduated from Beaver Vocational High School, Beaver Springs. She also graduated from Harrisburg Hospital School of Nursing, Harrisburg. Helen was employed with Dr. Stephen Robbins for more than 20 years, retiring in 1992. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Lynda L. and Steve Warrington, of Galena, Md.; one son, Jerry Scott Hardcastle, of Street, Md.; two grandchildren, Lauren (Brian) Gardner and Steven (Gina) Wolf; one great-grandson, Joshua Allen; one brother: C. Donald Herbster, of Harrisburg; and several nieces and one nephew. She was preceded in death by one brother, Bob B. Herbster of Beaver Springs. Funeral services were held on March 9, 2015, at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Middletown and Knowlton Road, Middletown Township, Media. Interment was in Media Cemetery, Media.
