Sunbury - Helen Ann Hare, 82, of Sunbury, passed away Sunday, July 27, 2025, at Sunbury Skilled Nursing and Rehab.

Born in Sunbury on Aug. 1, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Dorothy Hockenbrough. She attended Sunbury High School.

On June 20, 1959, she married Lawrence " Flip" P. Hare, who survives. She was an Assistant Activities Director for Nottingham Village. She was a member of the Sound of Gospel Church, Winfield.

In addition to her husband, Helen is survived by two sons, Stephen P. Hare and his wife, Tracey of Sunbury, and Lawrence R. Hare of Danville; a daughter, Lynn M. Patrick and her husband, Ryan of Danville; three Grandsons, Joseph Hare, Madden Patrick and Macon Patrick; two Granddaughters, Emily Hare, and Marleigh Patrick. In addition to her mother, Helen was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles P. and June (Gaugler) Hare.

Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2025, at 12 p.m. with Pastor Andrew Weaver, officiating at Gotlob-Campbell Funeral & Cremation Service, 539 Race Street, Sunbury, Pa., James R.
