Hazel Irene Rosancrans
Hazel Irene (Kessler) Rosancrans, 90, of Selinsgrove, was lifted to Heaven in the arms of angels on Friday, Jan. 31, 2020, from her home where she lived with her daughter and son-in-law.
She was born Dec.12, 1929, in Sunbury, a daughter of the late John A. and Esther G. (Brosious) Kessler. On April 5, 1947, she married Ronald C. Rosancrans in Hagerstown, Md. The couple was married for 63 years and had five children.

Hazel lived and attended school in Sunbury.

In her younger years, Hazel worked as a seamstress for Nightcraft in Sunbury, Hanes Manufacturing in Shamokin Dam, and Laiglon Apparel in Northumberland.

Hazel was a kind soul who loved God, her children, and attending church services at the Christ Wesleyan Church in Sunbury.

She loved dogs, especially her three granddogs, Bella, Seneca, and Coco. She was an avid fan of WWE Wrestling and enjoyed computer and card games.

Hazel is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Patricia A. and Kenneth Campbell; three sons anddaughter-in-law, Tom J. Rosancrans, Timothy R. Rosancrans, and Steven I. and Michelle Rosancrans; one brother and sister-in-law, James and Dorothy Kessler; and many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald C.; one son, Ronald A. Rosancrans; one daughter, Sandra L. Hunter; one brother, John J. Kessler; and four sisters, Bertha Sechman, Grace Thomas, Betty Coxe, and Katherine Brosious.

Family and friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, at Christ Wesleyan Church, 238 Walnut St., Sunbury, where the funeral will follow at 11, with Pastor Lee Crossley and the Rev. Branden Mestach officiating.
Burial will immediately follow in Shreiner's Church Cemetery, Shamokin Dam.

The family welcomes flowers. However, if desired, you can contribute in Hazel's memory to the Christ Wesleyan Church, 238 Walnut St., Sunbury, or the American Cancer Society.

Arrangements are by the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St., Sunbury.

She was my aunt she was a very kind and caring person. I stay with them a lot and was treated just like one of her kids. She will be miss. She would do anything for us. I loved staying with them all summer. She was a very amazing and loving person. I will always remember her laughing and her smile and she had a warm heart she was a very special person in my life. She always give of herself she taught me alot.
