Millersburg - Harry E. Hummel Jr., 79, passed away on Jan. 10, 2026, at Northern Dauphin Nursing & Rehabilitation in Millersburg.
Born on Oct. 29, 1946, in Sunbury, he was the son of the late Harry E. Hummel Sr. and June E. (Hare) Hummel. Harry was a proud 1964 graduate of Sunbury High School.
Harry dedicated much of his professional life to the service of others, working in Human Resources for several area medical facilities, including Geisinger and The Selinsgrove State Center. Outside of work, he was a man of many interests; he found great joy in tracing his family's genealogy, coaching youth sports, and participating in Civil War re-enactments. His greatest legacy, however, remains his family.
He is survived by his children Daughter, Michelle Hummel (Rodney Yarger) and Son, Sean Hummel (Aundrea DeWald); grandchildren Jordan, Brandon (Erin), and Daniel (Brandie); great-grandchildren Novalie, Peyton, Kamdyn, Heyley, and Bjorn, and his Brother, Timothy Hummel and sister, Susan Haas (Richard).
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Tuesday, Feb 3, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Zweier Funeral Home, 157 Chestnut St., Sunbury, where the Memorial Service will begin at 11, officiated by Chaplain John Caudle.
Interment will follow in Northumberland Memorial Park in Stonington.
