Guy C. Edinger
Guy C. Edinger, 99, formerly of Watsontown, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2020, at Milton Nursing Rehabilitation Center, where he had been residing.
He was born Aug. 23, 1920, in Lewisburg, a son of the late David and Emma (Smith) Edinger. On Nov. 8, 1969, he married the former Catherine F. Williams and together they celebrated 40 years of marriage until her passing on July 12, 2010.
Guy was a 1940 graduate of Mifflinburg High School. From 1940 to 1945, he worked for the railroad before he served honorably in the Army starting in 1948.
He held many jobs, working for Pennsylvania House in Lewisburg, Boyardee's in Milton, Bucknell University as a security guard, and he retired from the West Company in Montgomery. Guy was also a plasterer working with his father and brother at Paul Edinger and Brothers, in the Mazeppa area.
Surviving are his two sons and daughters-in-law, Myron C. and Jean Edinger of Mazeppa, and Nelson R. and Sharon Edinger of Mifflinburg; one daughter, Carolyn White of Mifflinburg; grandchildren, Christine (Bill) Reber III, Phillip (Shakira) Edinger, Debbie White, Rodney Edinger, Nancy (Brooks) Zechman, Elaine (Bobby) Edye, and Gena (Timothy) Anspach; 13 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, Guy was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Karen Hoffman; five brothers, Paul, Howard, Norman, Ralph and David; two sisters, Ruth Danowsky and Naomi McClure.
There will be no funeral or memorial services per Guy's wishes.
Burial will take place at the convenience of the family in Mazeppa Cemetery.
The family suggests contributions in Guy's memory may be made to Hospice of Evangelical, 235 Hospital Drive, Lewisburg, PA 17837.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brooks Funeral Home & Cremation Svc PC, 124 Main St., Watsontown.

He was my great uncle. We used to attend the same church. I will always remember him as a sweet, caring, gentle man: What a legacy! So sorry for your loss! Looking forward to seeing him again someday!

May he rest in peace one thing I remember about my Uncle guy is his laugh and he was really a wonderful person ❤️🙏
