Sunbury - Gregory C. Berger, born on April 16, 1958, (aged 67) of Sunbury, Pa., passed away on Jan. 12 at Geisinger Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his parents Earl and Doris (Kerstetter) Berger.

Greg graduated from Shikellamy H.S. in 1976. He actively participated in many Lutheran churches as an Authorized Layworship Leader for 25 years (since June 10, 2000) and organist. He enjoyed sharing his gifts through music, photography, bicycling, and gardening, amongst many other activities. He was always ready with a witty joke to make people smile. He was loving, compassionate and altruistic.

Greg will be lovingly remembered by his husband, three sisters, and many family members and friends, whom he deeply loved. He also leaves behind his two beloved beagles, Lil and Pennie.

A visitation will be held at St. Matthew's Lutheran church, Shamokin Dam, Pa., where he was a member, on Monday, Jan. 19, from 9 to 11 a.m., promptly followed by a celebration of life service, presided by Pastor Mindy Bartholomew.
