Gloria M. Ross
Gloria M. Ross, 91, of Northumberland, went to the arms of her savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2019.
She was born Sept. 10, 1928, in Sunbury, a daughter of the late Nicholas and Beulah (Wynn) Gilligbauer. On May 21, 1947, Gloria married Walter L. Ross. His death in 2009 ended their union of 63 years.

Gloria graduated from Sunbury High School in 1945.
She worked and retired from Wilhold Manufacturing in 1993.
She was life long member of Augusta Baptist Church in Boyles Run where she volunteered her time and served within the church wherever needed. Additionally, she was a member of Eastern Star.
Gloria was an excellent homemaker and loving wife. She canned and froze vegetables from her husband's garden, passed on the love of sewing to her daughter, and provided her family with countless meals and memories every Sunday afternoon. She enjoyed bird watching, crafting, and baking delicious pies.

Gloria is survived by her loving children, Debbie Ritchie and husband David of Sunbury, and Douglas Ross, wife Judy and daughter Miranda Mull and family, all of Middleburg; two granddaughters, Nicole Dailey and husband Christian, and Courtney Svirbly and husband Frederick; three great-grandchildren, Emma Dailey, Gus and Leo Svirbly. In addition to her children and grandchildren, she is survived by a sister, Aulwyn Reader.
She was preceded in death by two brothers Clifford and Darwin Gilligbauer.

A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, at the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St., Sunbury, followed by the funeral at 11, with Pastor Robert Commerford officiating.
Interment will be in the Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Augusta Baptist Church, 1484 Boyles Run Road, Sunbury, PA 17801.
