Franklin G. Wilson Obituary
Danville - Franklin Gerald Wilson, 81, of Danville, Pa., passed away peacefully on Sunday, Jan. 25, 2026, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. He was born on Jan. 15, 1945, in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Walter and Mary (Nungessser) Wilson.
Frank graduated from Danville High School in 1962. He attended Bloomsburg State College.
He was married 57 years to Jill Balliet Wilson, the love of his life. Jill preceded him in death in 2021.
Frank worked in sales, traveling the country for KVS and RE Kelly. He finished his career working as a realtor in Danville and Harrisburg.
In his retirement, he helped manage the Elk's in Danville. Frank spent most of his life as a community volunteer In his early days he was a volunteer ambulance driver, and a Lions Club member. He then became actively involved in the Danville Elks lodge, where he served in many positions, including Exalted Ruler in 1993. Later in life, he served as a historical reenactor for the Danville Iron Heritage Festival. He also volunteered at the Good Samaritan Mission in Danville.
Frank enjoyed fishing and golfing, but his greatest joy was hosting parties for family and friends.
He was a proud husband, father, and grandfather. He loved to talk endlessly about his family to anyone who would listen.
Frank is survived by two sons, F. Pierce Wilson and his wife Lisa of Danville, Pa., and Michael D. Wlson and his wife Christine of Swansboro, N.C. Also surviving are four grandchildren: Brent, Madeline, Evan and Logan Wilson.
He is survived by one sister, Judy Hickey.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Bonnie Baylor, and brother, Ronald Wilson.
Services will be held at a later date.
