Francis Raymond "Ray" Adams III, 78, of Selinsgrove, passed away Monday, Sept. 30, 2024, at his home.

Ray was the son of the late Francis Raymond Jr. and Margaret (Weeks) Adams. His wife of 52 years, Linda (Rhoads) Adams, survives.

He was a 1964 graduate of Selinsgrove High School and a 1969 graduate of Susquehanna University. He retired after 30 years of service at the Selinsgrove Center.

Ray was a devoted father and grandfather. He was a quiet presence and kind soul who cherished time at home amid the serenity of the family farmland. He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, exercise, and reading. He found joy in tinkering with cars, adoring his cats, and cheering for the home teams.

Ray is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Francis Raymond IV and Nancy Adams; a daughter and son-in-law, Megan and Jon Allocca; two beloved grandchildren, Andrew and Rebecca; a sister, Barbara Brownlee; two brothers-in-law, Ed Rhoads and Neal Rhoads; and two sisters-in-law, Audrey Battram and Marty Derr.

He was preceded in death by three brothers-in-law, Bob Brownlee, George Boyer, Jerry Rhoads; and sister-in-law, Linda Bolig.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
