Mifflinburg, Pennsylvania - Florine L. Beachel, 70, of Mifflinburg, entered into rest on Friday, Sept. 12, 2025, at WellSpan Evangelical Community Hospital.

She was born on May 31, 1955, in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late Ellery H. and Edna Viola Mae (Weller) Day. On Aug. 26, 1994, she married Melvin E. Beachel, who survives.

Florine was employed at the former Huntington Silk Mill in Mifflinburg and later worked as a bus driver for Rohrer Bus Service.

She enjoyed crafting, collecting American Indian artifacts, and most of all, spending time with her family and friends.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are four children: Tammy Miller, of Mifflinburg, Shawn Miller, of Mifflinburg, Brittany and Bradley Jenkins, of Mifflinburg, and Chassidy Day, of Mifflinburg; a stepdaughter, Stephine Fetteroff, of Mifflinburg; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and siblings Ronald Day, of Mifflinburg, Hellen and Dale Miller, of Watsontown, John and Wanda Day, of Mifflinburg, Gerald Hause, of Lewisburg, Richard (Dick) and Patty Day, of Lewisburg, Dean and Barbara Day, of Milton, and Boyd and Donna Day, of Beavertown.

She was preceded in death by four sisters: Florence Roush, Madaline Weaver, June Beachel, and Ardrena Bridge; and five brothers: Larue (Larry) Day, Ernest Day, Terry Day, Clifford Weller and Donald Day.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
