Selinsgrove - Fern M. (Kerstetter) Gonsar, 100, of Selinsgrove, formerly of Trevorton, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, July 21, 2025, in the care of Brookdale Grayson View. Born on Aug. 9, 1924, in West Cameron, she was a daughter of the late William and Lydian (Wheary) Kerstetter. Fern was the widow of Blair L. Gonsar (1920-2009) who looks forward to reuniting with her in Heaven.

Fern worked in the Garment Industry in Trevorton and Shamokin for many years until she retired. She loved being an attending member of Zion Lutheran Church, Trevorton. Fern enjoyed making clothing, baking, and cooking. She also devoted much of her time to prayer. Above all, she cherished her time spent with her family and friends.
Fern will be lovingly remembered by her son, Gary B. Gonsar and his wife Barbara J. of Selinsgrove; grandchildren, Brian J. Gonsar (Dina) of Whippany, NJ, Kristin B. Gonsar Runkle (Aaron) of Mt. Laurel, NJ , and Andrew M. Gonsar of Selinsgrove; three great-grandchildren, Aiden Runkle, Siena Gonsar and Carson Runkle. She was predeceased by her brothers Rev. Evan Kerstetter, Lee Kerstetter, Palmer Kerstetter and Roy Kerstetter.

The family would like to extend a special thank you for the blessed and wonderful care Fern received from the staff at Brookdale Grayson View, Geisinger Hospice, and from Drs. John, Jessica and Chuck Pagana.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Foust Funeral Home, LLC. Trevorton, Ryan G. Foust, supervisor. A memory tribute may be placed at www.foustcares.com.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Fern's memory to Zion Lutheran Church, 601 W. Market St. Trevorton PA 17881.
