Evelyn I. Whipple
Evelyn I. (Marks) Whipple, 89, of Gettysburg Lane, Sunbury, passed away on Feb. 4, 2020, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born May 7, 1930, a daughter of the late Percival and Tryphena (Herrold) Marks. On Aug. 8, 1963, she married Clarence M. Whipple who preceded her in death.

Evelyn was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and attended the Northumberland Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
She enjoyed being a homemaker, being with her family, and her loving four-legged pal "Toby". She enjoyed picnics and gatherings with her family and friends, working with her flowers, putting jigsaw puzzles together, playing cards, and watching the animals, beautiful sunrises and sunsets.

Evelyn is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Robyn Aurand of Sunbury with whom she lived, Alva and Sue Whipple of Port Trevorton, and Charles and Laura Whipple of Lewistown; one daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Raymond Dannelley of Williamsport; 20 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one brother, William Marks; four sisters, Betty Kistner, Mary Reigner, Dorothy Lenig and Shirley Burns; four sons, Ernest Whipple, Donnie Whipple, David Aurand and Richard Whipple; and one daughter, Clarene Whipple.

The family will welcome family and friends from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 9, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 714 Old Danville Road, Northumberland, followed by the memorial talk at 3, with Greg Ritter, Elder in the congregation, officiating.
Interment will be in the Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington at the convenience of the family.
