Etta D. Brown Obituary

Etta D. Brown, 72, formerly of McClure, passed away Sunday, Jan. 12, 2025, at the William Penn Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Lewistown.


She was born Dec. 20, 1952, in Lewistown, a daughter of Beatrice (Kahley) Zimmerman, also a guest at the William Penn Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.


She attended the Mount Bethel Church in McClure.


Etta loved collecting purses and wallets, going on bus trips, looking at books, and will be remembered for walking the streets of McClure every day and spending time at the McClure Post Office.


Surviving in addition to her mother are a sister, Gloria Kratzer of Middleburg, and numerous nieces and nephews.


She was preceded in death by two uncles, Gene and James Kahley.


A viewing will be held Tuesday, Jan. 21 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Mount Bethel Church in McClure followed by the funeral at 11 with Pastor Tad Schlegel officiating.


Burial will in McClure Union Cemetery.


Arrangements are by the Hummel Funeral Home, 574 Hill St., Middleburg
