Lewisburg - Edward "Ed" Sterling Bastuscheck, 86, of Lewisburg, formerly of Mifflinburg, entered into eternal rest, with his loving wife by his side, at 12:35 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 18, 2025, at WellSpan Evangelical Hospital, Lewisburg.

He was born Nov. 1,1939, in Bellefonte, a son of the late Sterling A. and Mildred P. (Gummo) Bastuscheck. On Dec. 30, 1961, he married the former Patricia Styers, who survives.

Ed was a 1957 graduate of Mifflinburg High School.

He was a 76-year member of the Mifflinburg United Methodist Church, where he served on the Administrative Council and various committees, served as financial secretary, sound system operator, and assisted with youth programs.

Ed was employed as a Cameraman and Darkroom Technician at Moore Business Forms, Lewisburg, until he retired in 1995.

He owned and operated Bastuscheck Photo Services, specializing in wedding and portrait photography.

Ed was a founding member of the Buffalo Valley Sportsmen's Club, Mifflinburg. He served as Boy Scout Leader for Troop 520 for 21 years, and was a delivery driver for Meal on Wheels, Union County.

He enjoyed work in landscaping and planted lovely flowers, shrubs, and trees each year in his yard for the enjoyment of others.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 64 years, are five godchildren, Wendell Styers, Patrick Styers, Adam Styers, Melissa Wray, and Julie Schultz.

Family and friends are welcome from 10 to 11 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 23, at the Mifflinburg United Methodist Church, 279 Market St., Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 11, with Rev. Robert Rice officiating.

Burial will be in the Mazeppa Union Cemetery.
