Edward Lee Hendricks (Ted) Obituary

Edward Lee "Ted" Hendricks, 40, of Danville, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2023, in Danville.

He was born Feb. 15, 1983, in Danville, a son of the late Richard L. Hendricks and Joyce M. (Jackiewicz) Hendricks, who survives.

Ted graduated from Selinsgrove High School in 2001 and received his bachelor's degree in marketing from Susquehanna University in 2005.

He was a gifted caregiver of pets in his business, Happy Puppy Pet Care.

He also was employed by Weis Markets and worked as a salesman in various companies in the area.

Ted found solace and happiness in nature, especially taking great pride in landscaping his home and lawn which he always left neat and tidy. With an incredible artistic passion, he loved to paint many abstracts and portraits. He was always upgrading his home with his handyman gifts keeping it pristine.

Ted had an unwavering love for animals, dedicating his time and efforts to their well-being. His gentle nature and nurturing spirit will be deeply missed by the countless four-legged friends whose lives he touched. Ted's compassionate nature extended beyond animals and nature, as he tirelessly worked to uplift others with his crackerjack sense of humor and having the knack of making others laugh. Whether it was lending a helping hand or simply offering a listening ear, Ted's selflessness touched the hearts of many.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sisters, Elizabeth "Lizz" Hendricks of Northumberland and Tami Simpkins and her husband Dave of Haverton; one brother, Tim Hendricks and his wife Ayran of Telford; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his 10 furry companions; and the love of his life, Robynn Kelly of Danville, whom he adored.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Leo and Mary Jackiewicz; and paternal grandparents, Ray and Eleanor Hendricks.

Ted leaves behind a void that cannot be filled, but his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known him. May we honor his legacy by extending compassion to all animals and others, cherishing the beauty of nature, and continuing his lifelong mission of making the world a better place.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Ted's Life to be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, at Klinesgrove United Methodist Church, 1058 Church Road, Sunbury, with Pastor Eric Light officiating. Friends will be received from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.

The family will provide flowers.

Because of Ted's unwavering love of cats, memorial contributions may be made to Cherished Cats Rescue Alliance, 230 Market St., Suite 1, Lewisburg, PA 17837 or online at www.cherishedcats.org.
